                                 The hunt for Nomad Life

It led us from The Isle of Wight to Cornwall hunting for Moody's, especially 37or 376's

many sleepless nights and many arguments....

"Lands End was notorious for smuggling in the nineteenth century. The most westerly point of England and a natural shelter that made fishing and of course smuggling a perfect place. But the impressive part of Cornish history is the amount of shipwrecks  in the area, some of them sunk by the smugglers. They would attract the boats with navigation lights close to the shore until they crashed in the rocks surrounding the bay."

But then we found Nomad Life in Lymington UK.

This was the beginning of our dream coming

true. But it has proved to be an incredibly tough journey.... It all started with Graham's passion for sailing and my passion for traveling .  Combining both sounded a good idea. Discovering hidden bays and deserted beaches, the desire to go further a field and leave behind the smoky sky of London and all the stress that goes with it.  We sold out home to pursue this dream and now are trying to break free from the obligations that keeps you tied to life in the big city: jobs , bills , possessions. This hasn't been easy , changing lifestyles is never easy. Once moved on board we plan to cross the Bay of Biscay, and sail down to the Canary Islands.  Crossing the Atlantic sounds scary for me, Graham has done it once. It will be a challenging trip mentally and physically.

Nomad Life is going through a major revamp and hopefully we will be able to sail her in a few weeks time. We have done a lot of the work needed , in our spare time  over the last two months. For the first time we will be able to go out in Solent  and experience our new yacht!!
